Digital accelerator opens open call for EU-LAC partnerships

The EU-LAC Digital Accelerator is launching a call to support the creation of business partnerships between a European, Latin American, and Caribbean company and an innovative startup or SME from another region. The partnerships will receive acceleration services and can be created through the Matching Platform or may already exist.

Over the past few months, the Accelerator team has been working to match business challenges with digital solutions from startups in a region different from the one where the business is located. Now, it invites both, generated through the Matching Platform and external EU-LAC business partnerships, to apply for free Accelerator services.

The open call is open to EU-LAC partnerships addressing digital transformation challenges through open innovation, involving at least one company and one innovative startup or SME from different (EU-LAC) regions. To demonstrate their partnership, partners must have signed a formal agreement.

Those looking for a partner can do so through the EU-LAC Digital Accelerator Matching Platform. In parallel, these connections will be strengthened through webinars and activities that showcase challenges, bring innovation and encourage the innovation ecosystem to work together and explore the power of business collaboration.

Each eligible and external EU-LAC Partnership will be eligible for free access to acceleration services valued at €30,000, including the creation of a customized roadmap, identification of problem-solution and product-market fit, development of a business plan, and connection with investors for scaling.

The deadline for interested EU-LAC partnerships to apply is April 30, 2024.
