BELLA II in the EU-LAC Forum: “Partners in Change”

BELLA II in the EU-LAC Forum: “Partners in Change”

Youth, civil society, and local authorities play a relevant role in the partnership between the European Union, Latin America, and the Caribbean. In this context, the EU is organizing an EU-LAC Forum in Brussels, Belgium, in the context of the EU-LAC Days, the side events that are envisaged ahead of the EU-CELAC Summit on 17 and 18 July 2023.

The overall objective of the EU-LAC Forum is to have an inclusive exchange with non-state actors and to discuss opportunities to build a sustainable and inclusive future for both regions.  The EU-LAC Digital Alliance partners will be present in the Forum, on July 13 and 14, with a set of side events that aim at engaging with CSOs and Local Authorities around the main pillars of the Alliance.

On July 13, RedCLARA will be moderating the conversation: “Enhancing Community Networks' Impact in the BELLA II Project: Exploring the Role of Communitarian Networks”. The BELLA II project is one of the Digital Alliance EU-LAC four pillars and it looks to strengthen and expand the Latin American and Caribbean digital ecosystem, enabler of relationships and exchanges between Latin American, Caribbean, and European enterprises, research centers, educational institutions, and academic networks to contribute to achieving the region's strategic goals.  Civil society is one of the key stakeholders in the RedCLARA digital ecosystem (together with the governments, academies, and enterprises).

RedCLARA will present the research and education communitarian networks as a fruitful approach to engaging communities and civil society with the benefits of the project.
