Communiqué: Date of notification of selected papers for TICAL2018 and 2nd Latin American e-Science Meeting

The Expanded Program Committee of the TICAL2018 Conference and the 2nd Latin American e-Science Meeting, which will take place from September 3 to 5 at the Las Americas Convention Center in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, announced that the next Friday, July 6, is the date on which the papers chosen to be presented in both events will be announced.

The proposals will be evaluated by the Committee until the indicated date and the selected ones will receive the support of the organization to participate in the Conferences. As in previous editions, both TICAL and the e-Science Meeting will cover the travel costs of one of the researchers who are responsible for the selected work to the event venue (Cartagena de Indias, Colombia).

The calls of TICAL and the 2nd Latin American e-Science Meeting (closed on June 11) received 175 proposals; 133 of TICAL and 42 of e-Science. Colombia, with 49 proposals, and Ecuador, with 37, were the most participative countries, followed by Mexico, Brazil, Chile and Argentina.
